Glossary of terms used

Temperature
The temperature of the air at the time of observation

Rain
The amount of rainfall or rainfall equivalent (eg. melted snow) that has been collected in the last hour

Relative humidity
Humidity is the dampness or water-vapour content of the air. Relative humidity is the percentage of the amount of water vapour which would totally saturate that portion of air at that temperature

Wind chill
The temperature of the air it feels like when wind speed is taken into account

Wind direction
The direction the wind is blowing from using degrees and points of the compass at the time of observation

Wind speed
The mean speed of the wind at the time of observation
